Aside from the province, the Philippines has been nominated “Most Desirable Country,” while Cebu has been nominated “Most Desirable Region.”.

Department of Tourism emphasized that these recognitions from esteemed institutions serve as a testament to the timeless beauty of the Philippines.

In addition, DOT cited that the said UK’s longest-running travel magazine also acknowledged the relentless efforts of both the public and private sectors in the post-pandemic era, working diligently to elevate the country’s status as a global destination offering a diverse array of tourism experiences. It is also a reflection of the unwavering commitment of the government to revitalize tourism and travel in the Philippines, with a particular focus on strengthening the foundation of the industry through improvements in infrastructure, connectivity, digitalization, and overall tourism experiences.
